JKBOSE to Declare 10th and 12th Results Tomorrow, Check Timings and Pass Percentage

Srinagar, Jan 13: The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education has officially confirmed that the results of Class 10th and Class 12th Annual Regular examinations will be declared on January 14, 2026. The announcement brings relief to thousands of students who have been waiting for their board results.

The confirmation was given by JKBOSE Chairman Ghulam Hassan Sheikh, who is also holding the charge of Secretary. He said the Board has completed all formalities and is ready to release both results on the same day, following directions from the government and Education Minister Sakina Itoo.

To ensure smooth access for students, the Board has decided to declare the results in two phases on the same day. The Class 10th result will be released in the morning around 10:30 am, while the Class 12th result will be announced in the afternoon around 2:00 pm.

The Chairman said the Board took this decision to reduce stress among students. He explained that delayed results often create anxiety and affect students’ future planning. By releasing both results on one day, students can move forward without unnecessary uncertainty.

Ghulam Hassan Sheikh also said that this year’s results are very encouraging. He stated that the overall pass percentage is higher than last year and that the number of failures is very low. He described the performance as one of the best in recent years, reflecting the hard work of students.

The Chairman clarified that the Board does not carry out gender based analysis at the examination stage. He said such studies are left to the concerned education directorates for academic review.

The JKBOSE has also introduced new reforms to make student services easier. Corrections related to name, date of birth, and parentage will now be handled at district sub offices, meaning students will no longer need to travel to Srinagar or Jammu for these matters.

Before the declaration, the Chairman appealed to parents to avoid putting pressure on their children. He said that Class 10th and 12th are important milestones but not the end of life, and many students go on to succeed even if their results are not perfect.

Students will be able to check their results on the official JKBOSE website once the links go live on January 14.
